FIDYA – KAFFARAH – FITRANA

In Ramadan if a person is unable to fast then they should feed one poor person for each day, for a single missed fast is £5 PER DAY If you’re unable to fast for the whole duration of Ramadan the Fidya amount to cover the full month would amount to: (£5 X 30) =  £150

KAFFARAH – Kaffarah is to be given if a fast is deliberately broken or missed in the month of Ramadan without a valid reason. In such cases one must fast for 60 days continuously or provide 2 meals each to 60 poor persons in order to make up for the fast. For each missed or broken fast the Kaffarah would amount to: (£5 x 60) = £300

Fitrana – obligatory donation that every Muslim must pay to ensure that no Muslim is left hungry on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr £5 PER PERSON
